Make your own Bacon Turtleburgers!

Ok ok dont worry, no tiny turtle friends were harmed in the making of this post. Its actually all meat products just shaped like turtles!

Bacon Cheese Turtleburger

"Handmade ground beef patties are topped with sharp cheddar cheese and then wrapped in a bacon weave before the Hebrew Nationals are inserted as the heads, legs and tails. Place them on a rack, cover loosely with foil and then put them into an oven heated to 400 degrees. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the bacon is done - cooked through and a little crispy, but not too crunchy."

Its like a Bacon Explosion but cute!

Simple, adorable and weird....needless to say, I love this. I garauntee Ill be making some of these (with soy meat and turkey dogs tho) for my next BBQ!

Candwich the worlds leading sandwich in a can

Well to be fair its the only sandwich in a can but years of painstaking research and prototypes have finally given way to what we all have not been waiting for...

I didnt think Id ever live to see the day where man put a sandwich in a can. *tear* While I can somewhat get on board with the PB&J sandwiches I just cannot see the appeal of canned BBQ chicken sandwiches.

PS- you might have noticed a lack of bloggage this week, thats due to Kate The Shark rocking it at San Diego Comic Con this weekend (stop by the Boom! Booth and say hi to her!) and Ive been sick so my brain has been functioning at half capacity. Thanks for sticking with it though ;)

Im unimpressed by worlds largest hummus plate

Dont ask me why, but I was google image searching hummus and came across this

Which lead me to this

New Lebanese Guinness Record for Largest Hummus Plate

Apparently over 300 Lebanese chefs worked together to create a 2 ton plate of hummusy goodness. As a lover of hummus, Id like to say that Im impressed by this feat but really Im not. I mean, its not like a giant hamburger or pie...those take careful planning and construction. But hummus? You want to make the worlds largest plate of hummus so you just make more hummus*. Hell I could fill and Olympic sized swimming pool with hummus if I had enough chickpeas and food processors.

So yeah...sorry guys but Im not impressed by your giant hummus plate. Make a giant pita or the worlds largest falafel to go along with it and then I'll be wowed.

Cheesecake baked in little jars with roasted nectarines

Here's an easy, delicious and totally adorable dessert to do this weekend, fromage blanc cheesecake, baked into cute little jars.  You can make it even more lovely by topping with roasted fruits, in this case I use tangy sweet nectarines scented with lemon verbena.  Nothing stops you from making this your own by using a combination of fruits, herbs, and even nuts of your choice.  What makes this cheesecake truly special, besides its oh-my-god-this-is-adorableness quality, is the luscious texture, like caressing you with satin, and the fact that you can make it by pretty much dumping all the ingredients in your food processor.

If you sent that up a flag pole I'd salute it. Im pretty sure if you ate that whole thing you would have a heart attack, but you'd probably get a Purple Heart for serving your country in the most kick ass American way possible.
